The Lamborghini Urus, the first Super SUV and the third model line for Lamborghini, makes its UK debut in London. The UK, which is the third largest market for Lamborghini, forecasts a doubling of sales with the introduction of the Urus, reflecting worldwide expectations. Deliveries to customers of the Urus commence in summer 2018, when the Super SUV joins the Lamborghini Aventador and Huracán super sports car model ranges.

In a presentation by the Automobili Lamborghini board to more than 500 guests at the RHS Halls in London, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Stefano Domenicali said: “The UK is an extremely market for Lamborghini, which has a strong motoring heritage and a particular enthusiasm and empathy with performance cars. The Lamborghini super sports DNA of design, performance, driving dynamics and driving emotion is clear within the Lamborghini Urus, which is also as much a luxury SUV as the most powerful. An SUV for the city and the open road, the Lamborghini Urus opens the door to new possibilities for both our customers and our brand, and we are proud to formally present it to one of our most significant markets.”

The Urus features a 4.0 litre V8 twin-turbo engine delivering 650 hp at 6,000 rpm and 850 Nm of maximum torque already available at 2,250 rpm. With 162.7 hp/l the Urus claims one of the highest specific power outputs in its class and the best weight-to-power ratio at 3.38 kg/hp.

The Urus accelerates from 0-62 mph in 3.6 seconds, 0-124 mph in 12.8 seconds, and with a top speed of 190 mph it is the fastest SUV available.

In 2017 Automobili Lamborghini set a sales record for the seventh year running: up 10% over the previous year, Lamborghini delivered 3,815 cars around the world.

The UK currently operates eight Lamborghini dealers, with two further authorised outlets opening in 2018. Its Lamborghini London dealership is one of the largest by volume in the world: Automobili Lamborghini has 145 dealers serving 50 countries. The UK, which also achieved a sales record in 2017, is the third largest market behind the USA and Japan.

The Lamborghini Urus retails in the UK from £165,000 on the road.

  • Luxury residential development breaks ground one year after Aston Martin and G&G Business Developments announced partnership
  • Aston Martin Residences at 300 Biscayne Boulevard Way is the first condominium tower to begin construction in Downtown Miami in 2017 and is on track for completion in 2021

18 October 2017, Miami, FL: Aston Martin and global property developer G&G Business Developments have broken ground on Aston Martin Residences at 300 Biscayne Boulevard Way in Miami, confirming that construction of the 66-story luxury condominium tower is set for completion in 2021. The milestone marks the development of Aston Martin’s first real estate project, and the iconic brand’s expansion into luxury residential design. Aston Martin Residences at 300 Biscayne Boulevard Way has become the first condominium tower to break ground in Downtown Miami this year, underscoring the development team’s strength and market confidence.

The striking building of curvilinear glass and steel is set to rise on one of the last parcels of developable land on the Downtown Miami waterfront and has been designed by Revuelta Architecture and Bodas Miani Anger, renowned for creating visually impressive and exceptionally well-engineered landmark properties. General contractor Coastal Construction Group will now begin work on the tower.

The 391 condominiums will combine breathtaking design aesthetic with an ideal location, featuring spectacular panoramic vistas of Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The development’s seven penthouses and one duplex penthouse – all of which will enjoy private pools and spacious terraces – will be complemented by a range of expansive one to four-bedroom apartments.

Aston Martin’s design team, led by EVP and Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman, will design the interior and amenity spaces throughout the development. Key Aston Martin design elements, such as the signature carbon fibre reception desks, will adorn each of the tower’s two private lobbies. Highlight features will include doors with bespoke artisan Aston Martin handles, number plinths and kestrel tan leather door tabs. Residents will be able to relax and unwind just steps from their front doors, with 42,275 square feet of outstanding Sky Amenities spanning four full levels between the building’s 52nd and 55th floors. Amenities will include a double-level fitness centre overlooking the ocean, spinning studio, boxing gym, virtual golf room, art gallery, two cinemas, as well as a full-service spa, beauty salon and barber shop.

These exquisite spaces will be encased in a bold sail-shaped building reflecting the marina setting and offering superb views of the local surroundings. Residents will also be able to enjoy direct access to the turquoise waters of Miami via an exclusive yacht marina.

Representing Aston Martin at the ground breaking ceremony, Simon Sproule, Aston Martin Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, said: “Aston Martin is on a growth trajectory globally and across the United States. Our partnership with G&G Business Developments to create Aston Martin Residences Miami, forms an important part of that growth story and of our desire to bring our brand to new audiences across the world.”

German Coto, CEO of G&G Business Developments said: “In October 2016 we announced the partnership with Aston Martin and our plan to break ground in October 2017. Exactly one year later we are here to celebrate the start of construction which is confirmation of our commitment to follow our own strict timeline. This development has been extremely well received, in part due to the unique offer but also due to the outstanding job our official broker Cervera is doing. I am confident we will deliver on our promise to create the ultimate residential tower and I’m looking forward to admiring the view from the top of this special building when it is complete.”

Coto concluded: “The success of this collaboration is a testament to the team work, mutual trust and dedication of everyone involved, both at G&G and Aston Martin.”

The residences and penthouses, which range from 700 to 19,000 square feet, are priced from $600,000 to upwards of $50 million.

The sales centre for the Aston Martin Residences at 300 Biscayne Boulevard Way Miami, Florida is open daily from Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm and Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5pm.

Last night, I attended an event curated by Rémy Martin  to explore the well known Cognac, it’s origins and much more. The event held at Royal Society of Arts in Charing Cross began with a brief presentation about the history of the brand and the region it calls home. Founded in 1724 and based in the city of Cognac, it is one of the biggest cognac producers and is also part of the Comité Colbert, an association of luxury businesses which promotes French know-how worldwide. Beyond two simple letters, Rémy Martin XO is the invitation to broaden your horizons and appreciate new experiences this Christmas.

The name Rémy Martin comes from the name of the company founder, born in 1695 near Rouillac. A winegrower by trader, in 1724 he created a trading house of cognac. After his death in 1773, his grandson, also named Rémy, took over the business. In 1841, Paul-Emile-Rémy Martin assumed control of the business and oversaw great growth. He added a logo to the bottles and cases, in the shape of a centaur, a mythological creature whose starsign Sagittarius matched that of Martin. The Rémy Martin brand is today known for the distinctive centaur logo and in China is called réntóumă (人头马), literally “man-headed horse”.

In 1981, Rémy Martin imagined XO, an opulent cognac characterised by a rare aromatic complexity. Made from hundreds of the finest eaux-de-vie, from the two most sought-after vineyards of the Cognac region – Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne . Appreciated neat, on ice, or in a classic cocktail like an Old Fashioned, every sip of Rémy Martin XO is a new experience as we found out when we plunged right into an actual virtual reality experience set up by the brand exploring it’s history.  In the middle of conversations about Parmesan cheese, grapes, and off course wood. We got the big reveal the ultimate taste straight no mixers and shaken but not stirred.

Ana Almedia, Senior Brand Manager at  Rémy Martin added “Remy Martin retains the crown as the best Cognac worldwide. It is smooth, full-bodied and long-lasting with both exquisite and sophisticated flavours”. That is exactly what i like to hear when drinking a cognac and the flavours Ana mentioned certainly  made sense as a presentation of several food items led the audience into a tasting game of challenging their senses to find out a mix of  orange and cinnamon, grapes, late summer fruits and floral notes, such as jasmine, woody tobacco, white and dark chocolate and much more. All flavours attributed to Rémy Martin. The one word that stood strong was ‘legacy’ with the cognac’s brand ambassador,  “Rémy Martin wants to be around for the next hundred of years and more”.

In summary,  Rémy Martin XO delivered an outstanding sensory experience, and we can recommend this as the ultimate Cognac to delight when gifting or entertaining at home this Christmas . As we left the Royal Society of Arts fully sober (of course!) but more knowledgeable about Remy Martin.

We have asked our experts for other ways that we, ourselves, can support our health in the workplace…

1. Does the shoe fit?
You could spend less time sitting in traffic, or being cramped on a tube, by swapping public transport for your feet (or at least for part of the way), which can also help to up your step count. However, make sure your footwear fits properly to avoid discomfort. “Sore feet after even a short walk? This is a common occurrence for those of us who do not have correct fitting shoes, and this can put us off walking altogether. Be sure your foot has enough room in the toe box. There should be a thumbnails width (or about a half inch) between your toes and the end of the shoe. The shoe should be wide enough in the toe that your toes can move freely. Your heel should not slip, and the shoe should not pinch or bind, especially across the arch or ball of your foot,” explains Carnation Footcare Podiatrist Dave Wain (

2. Opt for a packed lunch
Are you a regular at the local lunch hot spots near your work? Skip the lunch queues and start by making your own lunches; not only can this be much cheaper but you also know exactly what is going into your meals, rather than thinking the salad you purchased is healthy, before learning how calorific the dressing is.
“Making your own lunch gives you full control over what you eat and how much of each food group you consume, which can help especially when looking for lower calorie options. You can prepare sandwiches or salad bases over the weekend if you struggle to find time in the mornings,” suggests Nutritionist, Cassandra Barns.
If you’re not sure what to add to your lunchbox to make a nutritious and filling meal, try the general rule of having the size of your clenched fist as your carbs and the size of the palm of your hand as your protein.

3. Curb your sugar cravings
If you’ve had a stressful meeting, have had to deal with a difficult customer or are struggling to get through your emails try to avoid the feeling that you ‘deserve’ a high calorie treat each time. Identifying your emotions and finding alternative ways to deal with them, as opposed to powering your way through the likes of endless crisp packets, can help you take back control of your eating habits. “This may take effort and time, as we often hang on to what is familiar, but if you stick to it, you will soon be reaping the rewards for a little thoughtful decision-making, retraining and application of willpower – with a little help from your Slissie friend,” explains Psychologist, Corinne Sweet.

Slissie (from £24.99, is the first of its kind as it delivers curb-craving flavourings that instantly help you resist the temptation of sugary, calorific snacks. Once the flavours that contain aromas are detected by your tastebuds and olfactory receptors, messages are sent to the appetite control centres of the brain leaving users feeling their appetite has been satisfied. At the press of a button you can taste flavours such as, chocolate, vanilla and mint, making your brain think you’ve had that sweet treat without any nasty sugars being involved!

4. Don’t become a desk potato
Feeling snowed under at work? Make sure you still take a break and stretch your legs to help combat against stress. “Exercise is a great stress reliever. Take a brisk walk to stimulate anti-anxiety effects, this helps to clear your thoughts and feel more relaxed upon returning to the office,” suggests Cassandra.

5. Set an alarm
“If you’re a bit of a desk jockey, set a reminder to make sure you have a brief walk around the office to get yourself moving,” advises Dave.

6. Replace your Americano for a green tea
Green tea is an excellent healthy mood booster. “It contains some caffeine, which gives you a bit of a lift, but also contains the amino acid theanine. Theanine which can have a relaxing effect and may help to relieve anxiety and mental stress, potentially by increasing your levels of serotonin, dopamine (responsible for reward and pleasure), and gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA, which has a relaxant effect),” explains Cassandra.

7. Learn to say no
“If you feel the symptoms of stress coming on, learn to get your priorities right. There is nothing in your life right now more important than your health. Learn to say no if you feel that you have taken on too much. Being assertive is invigorating and empowering. It also helps to make lists of what is, or is not a priority, and to tackle the priority tasks first. This will help give you a sense of control over your life,” says Dr Marilyn Glenville, the UK’s leading Nutritionist, author of Natural Solutions for Dementia and Alzheimer’s (

8. Get your veggies
Does your lunch lack vegetables? This can be a significant way of you adding calories to your diet, by filling your plate with other food groups, such as carbs. “Soups are a fantastic way of boosting your veg intake and using any odds and ends of vegetables in the fridge, especially those that are starting to look a bit limp and sad! Gently steam all vegetables, add lots of garlic, onions and herbs such as rosemary, caraway and thyme. Then blend in a food mixer or liquidiser. Serve hot or cold!” says Cassandra.

9. Make time for breakfast
“The old saying says that ‘breakfast is the most important meal of the day’ and when you have breakfast you are literally ‘breaking the fast’, this supports the idea that you shouldn’t skip breakfast. Sleeping causes your metabolism (fat burning capability) to slow right down and nothing gets it going faster than breakfast,” explains Marilyn.
“But always remember that just as important as having breakfast itself, it’s also vital to choose healthy breakfast options such as wholegrain cereals like porridge, organic ‘live’ natural dairy products like yogurt, organic eggs and fruit. Sugar-laden cereals will cause your blood sugar to rise sharply and drop quite quickly, making you feel more hungry quickly – you need something that will sustain you and keep you feeling fuller for longer,” adds Marilyn.

10. Spring clean your desk
It may not come as a shock to you that the technology you use every day is often swarming with germs. Your computer keyboard is 20,000 times dirtier than a toilet seat and your mouse is 45,670 times dirtier than a toilet handle.

NetJets, a Berkshire Hathaway company, unveiled a new installation with artist Frida Fjellman in Basel to celebrate the start of Art Basel. NetJets has been an Associate Partner of Art Basel for sixteen years. Ahead of the Basel show opening, the private aviation firm chose to work with Frida Fjellman, a critically acclaimed Swedish Craft Artist, in creating an innovative installation on display at the NetJets VIP lounge in the Art Basel Collectors Lounge.

Frida Fjellman is one of Sweden’s most prominent Craft Artists. Her hyperreal creations in ceramic and glass blur the lines between the disciplines of Craft and Fine Art and transports the viewer into a dreamlike world of myths and fables. Frida was commissioned by NetJets to create deliver an eye-catching installation that complemented the notion of air travel along with recognising the company’s engagement with design and art.

Fjellman decided to reimagine the ceiling of the NetJets VIP lounge around the theme of a Crystal Atmosphere. The installation incorporates approximately 100 glass prisms of different sizes and colours that are all hung at different heights creating a dreamlike atmosphere where the visitor automatically becomes a participant among the glass crystals. Frida worked closely with the Boda Glass factory to create the installation. Located in the famous glass blowing town of Boda Glasbruk, in Småland, Southern Sweden, the region is known as the Kingdom of Crystal and has been producing glass since the 18th century. The installation took over two months to create and each individual prism was created by hand by the skilled master glassblowers of Boda Glasbruk, each of whom have over 15 years’ experience in the craft.

I was interested in exploring the almost magical sense of tranquility that you experience when cruising above the clouds – flying is perhaps one of the few oasis of calm in our increasingly interconnected digital society. Crystal Atmosphere was designed to impart a sense of calm to the viewer as well as to intrigue and fascinate, making the visitor reflect and take a step back from their everyday lives. I hope that this will be a memorable and unexpected experience for the guests. said Frida Fjellman

Philip Baer, Regional Vice President, NetJets Europe commented: “Art Basel in Basel is an annual highlight for our Owners, both in Europe and across the globe, many of whom are avid art collectors and enthusiasts. NetJets has supported Art Basel in Basel since 2002 and our long-running involvement is testament to the show’s continued position as the world’s leading platform for Modern and contemporary art. This year we wanted to take our partnership with Art Basel one step further and through our collaboration with Frida, NetJets continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing innovative and exceptional experiences for our customers”.

Every year NetJets creates a six-day event at Art Basel in Basel and Art Basel in Miami Beach with their VIP lounge providing owners with hospitality throughout the week, as well as access to the show during the VIP days. The aviation firm saw flight traffic to Basel increase around 19% between 2015 and 2016 and this year is expecting in excess of 90 flights.
