It seems there is no stopping British, TV Presenter, Louise Gookey. Each year she seamlessly takes the helm hosting some of the biggest awards ceremonies in the country. She is a presenter and journalist with a love for entertainment and the arts and has just been confirmed to host this year’s National Film Awards for the fourth year running. She can currently be seen reporting events across London for Winkball.com and talking through the papers with Penny Smith on Talk Radio. She is also the voice of the travel on both LBC London News and BBC Radio Northampton. On top of this, she has just finished presenting the latest instalment of health programs for Diabetes.co.uk which is followed by over 300,000 people.

However, Louise is no stranger to the entertainment industry having originally trained in musical theatre at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. She worked as a performer before making the move into presenting and most recently training as a journalist and passing her NCTJ qualification in Multimedia Journalism.

She has worked with teams over at London Live, Showbiz TV, Muzu.tv, Maverick TV, Radio Jackie, Juice FM, Hoxton Radio, Vibe FM and even took some time to entertain brunch lovers across London on the Breakfast Clubs debut radio show.
Louise’s passion for presenting lead her to host an array of award ceremonies including the National Film Awards, Urban Music Awards, National Reality TV Awards and Luxury and Lifestyle Awards where she got to meet and interview guests on the red carpet as well as hosting the events.

When it comes to working with brands, she has also worked with Skinny Tan, Argos, Vax, Hoover, Ideal Homes, Cannon, British Gypsum, and Just Eat.

On top of this Louise is a huge travel fan and experiences new cultures as often as possible. This naturally led on to Louise documenting these travels and turning them into vlogs which will be published very soon.

You can watch Louise Gookey live on the National Film Awards red carpet by logging on to www.facebook.com/nationalfilmawards live at 18.00 on the 28th of March 2018

A coveted National Luxury & Lifestyle Awards nomination is a mark of excellence and an exclusive unique selling point as an emblem of quality for all brands targeting the luxury audience.

From March, luxury consumers have submitted nominations across over 17 categories at chelseamonthly.com and over 51,120 took part this year (2014) with the buying public choosing their favorite luxury products, brands and services. This week, voting starts on the 19th of July at www.chelseamonthly.com.

Lucy Coleman, Editor at Chelsea Monthly commented “The list of brands nominated this year shows that there is a consistent rise of luxury consumers. The majority of luxury consumers define luxury now by intrinsic values such as quality, exclusivity and craftsmanship, over external factors like brand visibility. Most luxury consumers are advocates for brands they like , with ninety percent speaking about brands, their key motivations being superior quality, design and customer service.”

The National Luxury & Lifestyle Awards are fast becoming the mark of distinction that celebrates brands who go that extra mile to provide a better service, and this year we have introduced the nominees’ plaque of excellence. Each nominee will receive an official NLLA 2014 plaque to commemorate their nomination.

“Exclusivity is a core attribute that a luxury brand and/or product must have for luxury consumers and some of the new brands nominated this year have flourished in this category. I am really looking forward to hosting what will be an exciting party as we announce the winners at this year’s National Luxury & Lifestyle Awards poll winners party” added Louise Gookey, TV Presenter and Executive Producer of the Luxury Show on Sky.

The winners will be announced at the prestigious poll winners party taking place at No.41, Mayfair. London W1 on the 31st of July 2014

British Actress and Television Presenter,  Louise Gookey has been confirmed to host the 1st annual Consumer Choice Awards in association with Brand Weekly taking place on the 28th of May 2014. The talented presenter who is also starring in the British  feature film #TheNewspaper  out in September is set to announce the winners of this year’s CCA’s as voted for by the public.

Visa, British Airways,  Argos, Veuve Cliquot, Activia,  Phones 4 U, Tesco, Boots, NetFlix, St. Moriz, Vaepen, and Innocent are just a few top brands nominated by over 127,560 consumers for UK’s  1st annual Consumer Choice Awards. The Consumer Choice Awards  is one of the first annual award ceremonies to provide a voice for consumers to celebrate the brands, products and services that they love the most by nominating and voting online.

Louise Gookey commented “It’s been a very exciting year so far. Playing the role of Linda Cunningham in the feature film #TheNewspaper and now hosting what will be a very exciting Consumer Choice Awards. The CCA’s are very important for brands to know what their customers really think of their products and services. With the Consumer Choice Awards we are on a mission to connect brands to consumers in a much more efficient platform than has been done previously in the past. We all know, if you wanted to book the best hotel, your first bet is to find out what other customers think about the hotel. Now, the Consumer Choice Awards allows customers to celebrate the brands they love the most”.

The growth of social media and other online platforms has led to Consumers looking to other consumers more than ever for recommendations on the best products and services available in the market. From Hotel to Restaurant reviews, cars to travel comparison websites. Consumers are now playing a bigger role not just with the amount they spend on a brand but more importantly how much they think of a brand by shared experiences via their extended social circles.

From the start of the year (January 2014) , consumers have had a chance to nominate across over 22 categories at the official CCA micro website and over 127,560 took part with the buying public nominating their best products, brands and services. This week sees the official launch of the nominees and the commencement of voting on www.consumerchoiceawards.org

Christina J. Jesaitis , Senior Brand Manager, Veuve Clicquot nominated for the Best Food & Beverage brand commented “It is an honour to be nominated for Best Food & Beverage for the 1st annual Consumer Choice Awards 2014!
