In a celebration that elegantly bridged couture and champagne, Veuve Clicquot and Jacquemus unveiled La Grande Dame 2018 Limited Edition by Simon Porte Jacquemus with an intimate dinner at “Le Salon,” the newly opened space inside the Jacquemus boutique on New Bond Street. Hosted by actor Ellie Bamber, the evening gathered a close circle of friends, designers, and creatives for a night defined by warmth, artistry, and impeccable taste.
“Le Salon” marks a collaboration between the storied Champagne house and Simon Porte Jacquemus, conceived as a tribute to conviviality—a space that channels the intimacy of sharing a meal among friends. The setting was characteristically Jacquemus: refined minimalism softened by tactile charm, pairing the Maison’s Mediterranean spirit with Veuve Clicquot’s golden exuberance.
Guests joining Bamber for the evening included Jasper Conran, Oliver Overgaard, Jasper Talbot, Lucas Bamber, Dannie Norman, and Oisín Byrne, among others—each enjoying an atmosphere that blurred the lines between fashion, friendship, and fine dining.
The menu, curated by Luke Selby, Executive Head Chef at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons and Garden Gastronomy Chef for Veuve Clicquot’s UK programme, showcased a harmony of flavour and finesse. Dishes were thoughtfully paired with the newly released La Grande Dame 2018, a champagne that celebrates the strength and elegance of Pinot Noir—a nod to both Madame Clicquot’s pioneering spirit and Jacquemus’ contemporary aesthetic.
