Kensington and Chelsea, has certainly ticked all the right boxes with a perfect balance of experience, location, cuisine and comfort all rolled into one. The origin of the hotel’s name Xenia comes from the ancient Greek concept of hospitality. It goes back to a time when people believed the gods lived among them. So an encounter with a stranger was characterised by kindness and those far from home were warmly welcomed as friends – it was an extraordinary level of courtesy we’re proud to prolong today.
One thing we found consistent with the hotel was the staff, from the front desk staff to the Concierge team who are always on hand to help, we definitely felt the hotel was worth the recommendations. The hotel comprises 99 rooms individually appointed, two contemporary bars, a private dining room, meeting rooms and Evoluzione, a fine dining Italian restaurant that is in a class of its own.
We sampled the cuisine at the hotel’s flagship restaurant headed by Head Chef, Andrea Angeletti. He’s been at the hotel for five years and held a Michelin-star for eleven years whilst in Italy. To say the food was simply amazing was an understatement.
