Think  Amàre Beach Hotel ! A unique hotel in the Costa del Sol that brings together the perfect mix of fun, excitement coupled with a delightful stay for all its guests. The hotel is perfectly located right on the promenade and only 5 minutes stroll from Marbella’s old town.

For those of you uninitiated about this beautiful city. Marbella is a city and municipality in southern Spain, belonging to the province of Málaga in the autonomous community of Andalusia. It is part of the Costa del Sol and is the headquarters of the Association of Municipalities of the region; it is also the head of the judicial district that bears its name. Marbella is situated on the Mediterranean Sea, between Málaga and the Strait of Gibraltar, in the foothills of the Sierra Blanca. The municipality covers an area of 117 square kilometres (45 sq mi) crossed by highways on the coast, which are its main entrances. In 2012 the population of the city was 140,473 inhabitants, making it the second most populous municipality in the province of Málaga and the eighth in Andalusia. It is one of the most important tourist cities of the Costa del Sol and throughout most of the year is an international tourist attraction, due mainly to its climate and tourist infrastructure.

The city also has a significant archaeological heritage,  several museums and performance spaces,  and a cultural calendar with events ranging from reggae concerts to opera performances something we were happy to witness when we were lucky enough to take a city tour courtesy of the Marbella Tourist Board.  The city has many hotels but it seems like Amare Marbella has set itself apart from the competition by setting trends for others to follow in it’s restaurant, bar, and experience offerings making it much  more than a luxury destination. The name itself is derived from the Mediterranean roots  to capture the essence of this private paradise. “Amàre” not only means “love” but also gives the feel of the “sea” and displays a very natural and unforgettable world that you will not be able to resist.

The food and drink beverage we enjoyed was a Latin American fusion Restaurant, Hayaca and acclaimed bartender Diego Cabrera. Hayaca delivers flavoursome specialities from Cuba, Argentina, Peru, Mexico and Brazil, whilst Diego has created an exclusive range of signature cocktails featuring new innovations as well as classic hits. Guests can treat their taste buds this summer whilst enjoying the luxuries the two Amàre Beach Hotels have to offer. Following a successful partnership last year, Hayaca Restaurant returned once again to Amàre Beach Hotel Marbella. Hayaca’s original and delicious cuisine  incorporates local products and showcases contemporary versions of classic Latino dishes. Diners can also look forward to show cooking and a lively cocktail bar. In both destinations the interiors and vibe are unmistakably Latin American, with colourful long benches, vibrant cushions and table linen, tropical greenery and cacti, wicker baskets and chairs.

The  rooms are specially created to provide everything you need to enjoy a relaxing adult only holiday in the sun. Its 236 well-lit rooms are fitted out with the latest technology and offer an unbeatable level of comfort.  For Spa Treatment, we opted for the ‘Sleep Ritual’ a  50 minute  relaxing massage to relieve stress, and contribute to recover body, energy mind and soul balance through sleep induction.

If you are a big fan of Art, then  you will be pleased to find out that Amàre  is  showcasing works by Anna Schellberg and Paula Vincenti, proudly exhibited around the hotel. The works are hung through the reception, lifts and stairwells. The Amàre Art programme which takes place annually brings creativity to this luxury beachfront hotel and offers guests and locals  a chance to enjoy rolling exhibitions. Photography, fashion, design, sculpture, video-art and painting all find a space at Amàre. A stroll through the corridors and stairways of the hotel, or a ride in a lift, become a global experience of art in Marbella that awakens the senses.

Reached in just two and a half hours from the UK with daily flights to Malaga Airport and a 45-minute car transfer to the hotel, and with daytime temperatures exceeding 20 degrees from April to October, Amàre Beach Hotel Marbella is your perfect short haul break to enjoy sunshine, the beach and unique art.
