Originally built as a convent dating back to 1543, Villa Paola was transformed into a family run hotel, combining exclusivity and history alongside the comfort and warmth of a home away from home.
The 12 stylishly contemporary rooms and suites boast stunning views of the Coast of Gods, a scenic stretch of the Tyrrhenian coastline. All rooms have crisp linen sheets, air conditioning, an ample walk-in shower, L’Occitane amenities, Sky TV, WiFi, room service and minibar. The Hammam Suite, is the most exclusive space, with large sea-view windows, an elegant separate living area and a private mosaic hammam.
An extensive buffet breakfast is served on the panoramic terrace, with a selection of local produce including bread, cake, jams, cheese and salami amongst other delights. The menu at Villa Paola features fresh seasonal produce from the kitchen gardens, handcrafted pasta and fresh seafood, showcasing the authentic flavours of the region.
The communal areas include extensive landscaped gardens, a drawing room, cool cloister perfect for respite from the sun, and the infinity pool with a spectacular view over the coastline.
The terraces, linked by stone staircases, are the perfect spot for restful reading, sunbathing or to sip on an aperitif at sundown, overlooking Tropea and the Coast of the Gods. The lush gardens surround guests with perfumes and colours of beautiful Mediterranean plants: palms, cycas, oranges, lemons, roses, jasmine and bougainvilleas to name a few.
