Brand new album ‘Find Peace’ released by Hülya

Disarmingly open and seemingly effortless, Hülya captivates her listeners with the intimate intensity of her songs, which is conveyed by her incomparable voice. The seemingly limitless diversity of her voice radiates a magic that takes the listener on a journey into other worlds. From the depths of her soul, Hülya sings of a very archaic, universal longing and love. She also works as a director/producer.

“Find Peace” is my seventh album after e.g. “Songs of Hope” and “Pure Energy”. I, Hülya Friebe, grew up with nine siblings. Back then my parents were the only “non-locals”, the only foreigners in a small village. I became interested in music early on, taught myself to play guitar when I was 10. Later, in the great splendor of the show business there were many masks and masquerades: lights and glitter of the stage. Yet I was looking for truths – for myself. So I started making music not only for entertainment but with real content. I would like to share this real content, feelings and thoughts with you through my new album “Find Peace” with songs like “Find Peace” and “Back to Us”.I never want to judge – no racism. My songs carry the message of love. The respectful coexistence of cultures and religions is a matter close to my heart. My sensitive music is about the timeless longing for love and peace, with my voice I want to share with my listeners the hope, confidence and courage of my soul.  With songs like, No Words, Sunrise and Find a Distance on the album ‘Find Peace’, it is certain that Hülya is going for gold with this release.

The album opens with the slow-burning then pulsating ‘Find Peace’, with beautiful and breathy vocals channelling  a gorgeous denouement. This track sets the tone for an album packed with optimism and sybaritic  dancefloor fillers turning the sex appeal up to 11.  ‘No Words of Love’  is a curious song with a tiny hint of Róisín Murphy, there are shades of Sheila E funk on Soul Control, whereas the title track is essentially Alison Goldfrapp having a dance-off with Donna Summer in a shimmering discotheque. Biziz Biz Biriz is a deconstructed State Of Independence of sorts, brimming with soulful strings, while elsewhere, Back to us is perhaps the album’s highlight. Starting off evoking the beginning of the tremendous Love the track morphs into a gorgeous string-laden and bassline-driven hit with Hülya’s vocals pure audio mescaline in the sublimely uplifting chorus.
