803views

British Actress and Television Presenter,  Louise Gookey has been confirmed to host the 1st annual Consumer Choice Awards in association with Brand Weekly taking place on the 28th of May 2014. The talented presenter who is also starring in the British  feature film #TheNewspaper  out in September is set to announce the winners of this year’s CCA’s as voted for by the public.

Visa, British Airways,  Argos, Veuve Cliquot, Activia,  Phones 4 U, Tesco, Boots, NetFlix, St. Moriz, Vaepen, and Innocent are just a few top brands nominated by over 127,560 consumers for UK’s  1st annual Consumer Choice Awards. The Consumer Choice Awards  is one of the first annual award ceremonies to provide a voice for consumers to celebrate the brands, products and services that they love the most by nominating and voting online.

Louise Gookey commented “It’s been a very exciting year so far. Playing the role of Linda Cunningham in the feature film #TheNewspaper and now hosting what will be a very exciting Consumer Choice Awards. The CCA’s are very important for brands to know what their customers really think of their products and services. With the Consumer Choice Awards we are on a mission to connect brands to consumers in a much more efficient platform than has been done previously in the past. We all know, if you wanted to book the best hotel, your first bet is to find out what other customers think about the hotel. Now, the Consumer Choice Awards allows customers to celebrate the brands they love the most”.

The growth of social media and other online platforms has led to Consumers looking to other consumers more than ever for recommendations on the best products and services available in the market. From Hotel to Restaurant reviews, cars to travel comparison websites. Consumers are now playing a bigger role not just with the amount they spend on a brand but more importantly how much they think of a brand by shared experiences via their extended social circles.

From the start of the year (January 2014) , consumers have had a chance to nominate across over 22 categories at the official CCA micro website and over 127,560 took part with the buying public nominating their best products, brands and services. This week sees the official launch of the nominees and the commencement of voting on www.consumerchoiceawards.org

Christina J. Jesaitis , Senior Brand Manager, Veuve Clicquot nominated for the Best Food & Beverage brand commented “It is an honour to be nominated for Best Food & Beverage for the 1st annual Consumer Choice Awards 2014!
