Gaucho Covent Garden: A Fusion of Flavors, Music, and Elegance

1.96Kviews

Dive into an enchanting world where the rhythms of tango, the sizzle of sustainable steaks, and the allure of creative cocktails intertwine. Gaucho Covent Garden, the newest addition to London’s culinary scene, has brought a captivating experience that’s poised to redefine your dining expectations.

Late Night Tango and Sultry Beats:

As twilight descends, Gaucho Covent Garden’s transformation begins. Step into a realm reminiscent of the 1930s tango halls of Buenos Aires. Friday and Saturday nights set the stage for unforgettable tango performances and vibrant DJ sets, all within a speakeasy-style cocktail bar. From 10.30pm till dawn, this hidden sanctuary becomes London’s ultimate late-night rendezvous, a paradise for theater-goers and night owls alike.

Argentinian All-Day Delights:

Gaucho Covent Garden caters to your cravings from sunrise to sunset. Mornings unveil a unique Latin-laced breakfast menu, featuring classics with an Argentinian twist. Savor summer porridge adorned with zesty berries, an avocado muffin enriched with smoky chipotle BBQ sauce, or a classic eggs benedict accompanied by artisanal Coppa ham.

Executive Chef Mike Reid orchestrates a culinary symphony that celebrates Argentinian inspiration. Indulge in an enticing value set lunch (three courses £30), pre-theatre dining, and an array of signature 100% carbon-neutral steaks sourced from Argentina. The star? Impeccably sourced sustainable steaks from Black-Angus cattle, lovingly bred on handpicked farms.

A Symphony of Flavors:

Choose your steak with the expertise of a connoisseur. Delicately marbled ribeye, tender sirloin, lean fillet, or churrasco steaks marinated in garlic, parsley, and olive oil await. For the explorers, the Gaucho Sampler unveils a quartet of cuts, each with its unique profile.

Kickstart your journey with seared diver scallops enveloped in ‘nduja butter, shrimp ceviche with a picante rojo twist, or classic empanadas housing a choice of beef, sweet potato and provolone, or chicken and chorizo. Mains reveal the likes of whole grilled sea bass, served elegantly with olive oil, lemon, and herbs, or marinated pork matambre with Malbec jam.

Wines and Cocktails:

Dive into an extensive collection of South American wines, showcasing a range of whites, reds, rosés, and sparkling wines. Sustainable vintages, ciders, and spirits add to the eclectic list. The cocktail menu, a stage for artistry, features South American-inspired serves. Meet La Pasión Del Chocolate, a fusion of Belvedere vodka, Mozart white chocolate, Passoa, passion fruit, and oat milk. Or acquaint yourself with the El Niño: Pampero Blanco rum, Bacardi Coconut, mango, and a dash of coconut espuma.

Elegance Redefined:

Interiors echo Argentina’s eclectic spirit, a blend of traditional and contemporary. Think Aztec-patterned upholstery, a nod to horse blankets, juxtaposed with modern metal horseshoe motifs. It’s the perfect fusion of heritage and modernity, a mirror of Argentina’s multifaceted identity.  We extend a special acknowledgment to our dedicated waitress, Christina, who took care of us yesterday. With her warm and attentive presence, Christina ensured that we were exceptionally looked after throughout our visit.
