Sometimes all you need is a little Pinch…

Last week, my colleague Jeff Armstrong and I were invited to try out a brand new bar off Tottenham St. called Pinch. We were quite looking forward to the experience as we were told firsthand that this was the brand new space to relax, chill and have a taste of some of the best cocktails London has on offer post-2021. As we arrived at Pinch, it did not disappoint at all. The decor was amazing and what was more impressive was that Pinch was conceived during the Pandemic.  I asked the bar attender for the strongest cocktail and he didn’t disappoint as I was offered the W1 Tai shaken but definitely not stirred.   Pinch combines expertly made cocktails and delicious tapas with an innovative
and modern take on Ukrainian vodka infusions, bringing a new style of drinking to central London.
A London bar with a Ukrainian accent, Pinch’s founders are a young couple, *Yana* and *Alex* who celebrated their wedding in 2020 with toasts of their traditional family-made nalivka – vodka infused with herbs, berries or roots – Yana and Alex decided to open their own bar and bring this popular Ukrainian drink to London.
It was also a pleasure to talk to General Manager, Ricardo De Oliveira whose experience in restaurants and bars spans from Ibiza, Portugal, London, and much more. You name it, Ricardo has definitely been a part of it. We spoke candidly about the state of the economy following the pandemic and most importantly how important it is for readers like you to continue supporting bars like ‘Pinch‘.  Ricardo’s passion for this industry shows and most importantly to be part of an amazing venture such as Pinch during what has been an incredibly difficult period is remarkable.
Guests can try delicious flavours such as sour cherry, blackcurrant, cranberry, honey, and blackberry or more savoury notes like horseradish. Yana, Alex, and Bar Manager Ricardo have also taken great pride in finding independent brands to stock at Pinch Bar and have a number of ethical wines and spirits listed including La Jara vegan and organic prosecco from Treviso in Italy, small-batch handcrafted Applewood gin from Adelaide in Australia and Macchu Pisco – an ultra-premium, naturally distilled Pisco made in Peru.To eat, the tapas sharing style menu features small plates like ‘green bean tempura with garlic aioli’ and ‘spicy prawns with heritage tomato, garlic, and chili’. Pinch Bar’s sharing boards are a leisurely meal in themselves, featuring ‘sliced white pepper and fennel salami, Hartgrove Coppa, wild venison sloe and garlic salami’.
We had an amazing time at Pinch Bar and we recommend it with our total score of 9/10. Amazing bar staff, great management, and the waitress was on point. All in all, the full package.
Pinch Bar, is located on 9-11 Tottenham Street, London W1T 2AQ
