DARCEY HITS STRICTLY STYLE TOP SPOT WITH VIEWERS Blackpool Special sees Bussell top BBC show fashion ratings
Strictly Come Dancing judge Darcey Bussell wowed viewers last night, topping the Style on Screen Fashion Ratings for the BBC One show.
The former ballerina wore a floor-length embellished gown from Butler & Wilson, drawing huge interest from the TV audience.
It was revealed that she took 38.8% of the Strictly fashion interest, with Zoe Ball in a close second with 35.8%. Tess Daly took 25.4%.
It’s the first time since the show began that Darcey has made it into the Style on Screen fashion ratings, with Claudia, Zoe and Tess previously generating the dress interest.
Over on ITV, Cheryl took the plaudits with her dress from Naheem Khan generating 88.2% of the X Factor interest. Mel B, wearing J Mendel, took 11.7%.
Style on Screen CEO Kingsley Maunder said: “Darcey delivered this weekend, coming from nowhere in our ratings to take the Strictly top spot. Cheryl continued to dominate over on ITV, and X Factor took 66% of the total interest between the two shows.”
