ROSA FAIZZAD (Est. 2020 Denmark) is a high-end fashion brand focusing on luxury, design and quality. The brand designs clothes that enables women to express their true authentic selves in order to be confident, powerful and successful in life. We caught up with the brains behind the brand, Founder and CEO Rosa Faizzad for an exclusive interview.
What inspired you to get into fashion and were you passionate about fashion from a very young age?
When I was a little girl, I always admired strong yet graceful and feminine women and would love to dress up inspired by the immaculate royal queens, princesses and first wives that I’d see on television and in magazines. I have always been drawn by the simplicity, modesty and elegance of their style reminiscing the 50-60’s, which has undoubtedly inspired my overall fashion sense to this day and why it’s a huge ambition of mine to someday have the honour to dress the royals. Fashion design allows me to satisfy my creativity and bring my visions to life and I use it to empower women. I find it fascinating, that the right piece of garment can help elevate a persons mood, confidence and overall self-perception in just a matter of seconds and that certain colours, textiles and styles can help bring out certain feelings and emotions in us.
Although fashion may be ‘just clothes’ to some, it actually is so much more. Fashion is very personal. It’s self-expression, culture, communication and a powerful tool that we can use to express who we are, our values and beliefs without having to utter a single word. As an artistic person, I have always had a very creative approach to everything I did and have always used fashion as a way to express myself for as long as I can remember. Most people use fashion to fit in but I’ve always used it to stand out in a trendy world that’s constantly trying to make us all look the same.
How would you describe the Rosa Faizzad brand to our readers?
At ROSA FAIZZAD we provide exclusive Ready-To-Wear pieces for fashion conscious women, who appreciate feminine, sophisticated and timeless pieces. Our designs are unique and exclusively made in very limited pieces. Our clients understand that clothes hold power and we hope to inspire more women all over the world to be bold, brave and to embrace their femininity.
What would you say are your key demographics with the brand?
Thanks to the rise of technology we are very fortunate to already have clients across multiple continents and so far in countries such as; Denmark, Germany, UK, Australia, Canada, USA, Norway, Emirates (Dubai), Ireland and aim to hit the more markets within the next few years.
The fashion industry is constantly evolving especially with the emergence of social media and fast fashion. How do you balance this and stay successful?
Since fast-fashion and the emergence of social media have an undeniable impact on consumerism in terms of compulsive buying habits, we are using our brand and social media presence to challenge the current evolvement of fast-fashion by advocating for more conscious consumer behaviour through marketing campaigns such as our “Buy less, choose well, make it last” and “No sale” campaign. We neither design according to current fashion trends nor do we release new collections every season. We are taking a conscious step back. Our styles are made to last for a very long time, our designs are timeless, which means that they won’t go out of fashion and we offer exclusive customer service, where we personally help and assist all our customers to help find the perfect dress that both fit their body-type as well as match their personality. Most importantly, our customers are 100% satisfied. We believe that it’s time that we start loving, appreciating and taking better care of our clothes and let go of unjustified shopping habits.
The rise of female entrepreneurs have been incredible to watch during recent years. Why do you think there has been a sudden boost in women wanting to take the bull by the horn?
I believe women to be the world’s largest untapped reservoir of talent. Women have so much potential, yet we’ve never quite been given a fair chance due to society’s misperception on gender. For centuries women have faced gender inequality, discrimination and expected to self-sacrifice in every possible way and sadly, it’s still happening. Power is not given to anyone, one has to take it – which is exactly what we see happening today with the current rise of female entrepreneurs and leaders. Women are reclaiming their power all over the world and refuse to apologize for it. An important, necessary and inevitable change for a more progressive and sustainable future.
How would you describe your journey in the fashion industry and what have been some of the positive experiences you have gained so far?
As an emerging fashion designer, I have faced my shares of obstacles and challenges to get to where I am today. I‘ve worked extremely hard to prove myself as a serious business woman and as a fashion designer. We have had to differentiate ourselves from other brands in order to stand out and be recognised for who we are, what we do and why and think of ways to make classic contemporary again. However, I am tremendously grateful for the immense love and support that we’ve received from all around the world and to have had the opportunity to dress some incredibly talented, strong and inspiring personalities. It’s a very special kind of feeling to see an admirable woman dressed up proudly in one of my designs.
Now, you have just been announced as one of the sponsors for the prestigious 8th annual National Film Awards UK. This is an amazing achievement for your company. How excited are you to partner with the National Film Awards UK and will you be wearing one of your own designs to the event?
Absolutely! It truly is an honour to be one of the official sponsors and I am very excited about designing an exclusive custom dress for this years hostess and to be presenting an award category. It’s an amazing opportunity for us to establish ourselves as a prominent fashion brand. We love the UK and we are very grateful for the massive support that we’ve already received so far. Hopefully all this will lead to the opening of an exclusive showroom in London someday to better accommodate our UK clients.
