New cocktail destination launches
Last week, we checked out new drinking destination B.Y.O.C. (Bring You Own Cocktail) which launched in Camden last month. As we came out of our taxi, we took to our feet to try and locate this secret space at the heart of Camden. Luckily enough, PR representative for B.Y.O.C, Maria Edstrom was on hand to show us through the unassuming door. As we descended down a narrow staircase and landed our seats frontrow in the casino themed bar. The journey commenced, cocktail servings began with mixologists on hand to whip us whatever concoction we wanted to kick start the weekend… It was a Friday, after all and the best day to experiment.. So, what is B.Y.O.C i hear you ask? Well, Bring Your Own Cocktail (Camden) is the third in a successful franchise credited for being one of the catalyst responsible for the changing face of drinking in both Covent Garden and Brighton.
The core concept of B.Y.O.C. remains unchanged, you bring a bottle of your favourite tipple and the talented mixologists will make cocktails catering to your palette, no menu, no limits, just drinking. You pay a set entrance fee of £25, safe in the knowledge that no more expenses are required unless you find yourself desiring a little morsel to accompany your one-off cocktails. For the first time B.Y.O.C. Camden will be offering artisan cheese and charcuterie boards from London’s finest suppliers.

As with each B.Y.O.C. you will be transported back in time to a bygone era where alcohol was forbidden and all drinking had to be done under cover of dark. Working their magic from behind vintage roulette and blackjack tables this is a casino in which you will want to bet high. Blending the alcohol of your choosing with a comprehensive selection of fresh handmade syrups and bitters, pressed fruit and vegetable juices, spices and herbs to create individual drinks like nothing you will sip again. This secret drinking den is a bustling world of candlelit tables, hanging glass ware and vintage décor that you do not want to miss.
