Quaglino’s Bar Embarks on World Cocktail Tour
For one week in May this year, Quaglino’s Bar will travel across the globe to Florence, Singapore and Hong Kong for Q Cocktail Week to showcase two cocktails from each of its innovative cocktail menus: Science of Sustainability and All Time Classics. We were lucky enough to experience the one-night-only takeover on Wednesday 3rd April, to welcome Locale Firenze, and get a taster of the cocktails being showcased.
Expertly devised by Bar Manager Marco Sangion and Head Mixologist Federico Pasian, each menu embodies the distinct identity of both bars at Quaglino’s. The well-established and highly conceptual Science of Sustainability menu promotes the awareness of sustainability and explores global environmental issues of the past, present and future through cleverly designed drinks.
Situated in the heart of the restaurant, is the Q Bar where the All Time Classics menu has recently launched, as a homage to the greatest artists and songs of the past. The menu features bottled classic cocktails, but with a twist, and each serve is presented in the form of an upcycled wine bottle with its own uniquely designed label. These pre-batched cocktails will be revealed on the tour alongside the eye catching, thought- provoking tipples from the main bar.
On Sunday 5th May, Quaglino’s will be present at the iconic Locale Firenze (home to the world-famous Medici family) to kick off Florence Cocktail Week – who is sponsoring the trip – whilst also celebrating the 100th anniversary of the treasured Negroni. Wednesday 8th May will mark the start of Quaglino’s trip to Singapore sponsored by Mancino Vermouthas part of Singapore Cocktail Week where they will take over the bar at The Other Room. The final stop on the tour on Saturday 11th May, takes the team to Hong Kong where they will get behind the bar at renowned J. Boroski, supported by Sauvelle Vodka.
Before heading to Italy, Quaglino’s Bar will welcome Locale Firenze, for a one-night- only takeover on Wednesday 3rd April, also sponsored by Florence Cocktail Week (6th-12th May). Coming to London for the first time, Locale will bring over some of their best-loved cocktails to the bar and together with the Quaglino’s bar team will celebrate the 100th year of the Negroni.
